Rising Tide Explorers Wins ‘Best Kayaking Tour’ in USA Today National Poll
NAPLES & MARCO ISLAND (Aug. 28) – Rising Tide Explorers won “Best Kayaking Tour” in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, the media outlet announced online today. Based in Naples & Marco Island, RTE was featured as one of the Best Adventure Tour Companies in the country along side a variety of other adventure activities including biking tours, rafting, boat tours, scenic train rides, and more.
“It was amazing to see such incredible support from the community,” said Ryan Young, owner of Rising Tide Explorers. “The RTE team offers SWFL’s only opportunity to explore our unique local ecosystems with real science professionals, and it’s so gratifying to know how much our community values what we’ve worked so hard to accomplish.”
Young founded Rising Tide Explorers five years ago and offers boat and kayak tours led by local biologists and science professionals who are experts in this section of the Western Everglades, along with kayak rentals. Rising Tide Explorers is the exclusive eco-tour partner with Friends of Rookery Bay, strengthening the non-profit that supports the 110,000-acre Rookery Bay Research Reserve. Tours weave through the reserve’s mangrove tunnels and shallow waters to see birds, dolphins, other marine life and barrier islands. RTE also offers kayak rentals in Naples and Marco Island with free delivery to most homes, condos, and parks in the area at hourly, daily, and weekly rates. Kayak Rentals give those who want to explore on their own the opportunity to get out for a few hours in SWFL’s beautiful parks or have a kayak delivered right to their dock at a vacation home on Marco Island with digital maps and the best equipment in the area.
“We are thrilled that Rising Tide Explorers and their expert guides have been recognized by readers of USA Today for their expertise and passion for our coastal environment,” said Athan Barkoukis, executive director for the Friends of Rookery Bay. “Especially during these unprecedented times, we have been happy to let residents and visitors know that The Outdoors is Open for social distancing on kayak and small boat tours to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air of the Paradise Coast.”
