Departure Information
We will meet at and depart from the Rookery Bay Field Station on Shell Island Road, just minutes from Marco Island and Naples. See additional details below:
- Arrival Time: 15 Minute Prior to Scheduled Launch Time
- Launch Time: Launch Times are daily at 9:00AM, 1:00PM, and Sunset
- *Summer Hours = 9AM ONLY (May – October)
- What to Bring: Water, Snacks, Sun Protection, Binoculars, Insect Repellant or an extra layer of clothing
- High Points Tour: Closed Toed Shoes & Long Pants Recommended
- Cancellation & Rescheduling
- You may voluntarily reschedule or cancel your tour 48 hours prior to departure at no charge

MEETING PLACE
Proceed down Shell Island Road, and continue 1.5 miles past Briggs Boardwalk until you see a building and a brown sign the reads ‘Rookery Bay Field Station’ and ‘ Boat Tours Meet Here’. Pull into the second gravel parking lot just after those signs at the foot of the building and take a seat at the picnic tables located next to the sidewalk. Your Captain will be down to greet you in the designated Boat Tour parking area!
When all participants have arrived, you will be escorted inside the building. There is a port-o-let available in the parking lot, but there are no other restroom facilities available until you return from your tour.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, and be sure to account for traffic during the busiest times of the year. Tours will leave promptly at the scheduled launch time
